Early evening after a damp and windy cold day, early evening brought unexpected sunshine. This was taken from Stranmillis side of the Kings Bridge, and I was attracted by the similarity of tonal colours of the river and the skies, how clear it looked, while being extremely cold. There are two swans in there too if you look closely. Love seeing the swans. Taken 7pm April 2024.

For 2 weeks every winter Sydney is lit up with amazing colours and beams of light over the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and various buildings throughout the city. I captured this photo of the Opera House from across the water at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. I used a slow shutter speed (of 1 sec) to capture light trails from the passing water craft, and I held my iPhone up against my lens to create an artificial reflection on the water.Canon R6ii, RF 70-200mm f2.8 (@ 70mm), 1s, iso 200.

This photo is one I took in september 2023. On this night I captured quite a few different photos and perspectives of the milky way over and around the bridge. My goal on this evening was to take full advantage of the position of the milky way as there are very few opportunities that you can photograph the milky way positioned near the bridge during the year. I found this photo with other ones from that night I had not edited. Astro photography needs conditions to be right in relation to moon,
